I can’t get any device in midi settings under traktor :/ do you know why?
(I’m on a mac)
@ltitruck12 get a driver called “midi yoke” (if running vista you need to turn off user account control or it will not install) and then get a driver called “virtual audio cable”.
the midi yoke is the windows equivalent of iac for mac and the virtual audio cable is the windows equivalent of soundflower.
Yep, got it…
Cheers man, It seems like it doesn’t work very well for me anyway… still unstable…. I really dunno why it isn’t working here, I know some people got it working from what I’ve read, but here on a Macbook pro-Traktor 1.2.4-Live 8 it definitely doesn’t. Thanks anyway for your post.
Look in the prefs of Live. There you can switch from IAC to the Traktor Port.
Thanks for your reply Zettt!
Can you explain further?
I’m using Traktor Pro 1.2.4, creating a generic midi device with outport= IAC drive inside the Controller Manager.
Can’t find any “built-in Midi Output”
Thanks for your time. :-)
Use the new built-in Traktor MIDI Output it seems to be more accurate than the other clock.
I’ve done this trick before, but it doesn’t actually work well… clock drifts a bit, quite unstable. anyone knows how to fix this?
Shame on the douche who gave you a thumbs down (which has now been corrected =)) Most Mac users are pretentious assholes…. I’ve tried going the Asio4All route using Virtual Audio Cable. It’s a pain to set up & once you’re done, you’ll experience some latency, especially if you’re trying to use Ableton as your external mixer. Anyone know of a better alternative? As for Apple users: I’ve heard that mac’s internal “aggregate” will give you better, lower latency results than soundflower.
Traktor 1.2.3 or 1.2.4 users: mini control page is now the control manager
Have you done this using Snow Leopard 10.6.2 ??
The midi pane has changed, the IAC driver is something of a mystery??
Thankyou. What fx did u use there please?
does any know the set up for windows??
Hi Zettt ! GREAT tutorial, however there is one thing i do not understand … I have Traktor Pro as well with the latest update, but when i go to my Preferences Panel i do not have the MIDI SETUP like you, i have MIDI CLOCK instead !!! Why is that ?
i didnt try it yet but ithink
with “MIDI Yoke” and “Asio4All”
you can solve the problem on windows based pcs.
your pronunciation is too bad
kinda strange to listen to it :D
you should stick to your mother tongue GERMAN^^
but the content is well performed
does anyone know how to broadcast in traktor?
Do WIndows have a software like soundflower? thanks for the video!
how Can I connect 2 laps using ableton with a software please
usefulll…thnx
very good tutorial but too bad u cant use the audio 8 to control the tranktor players.. :/
does Soundflower or any application like that (for example Jack) degrade the sound signal when routing between applications?
super tutorial! soundflower laeuft, krieg allerdings iac noch nicht zum laufen! da kommt einfach kein signal in live an. hab das vtut schon 5 mal geschaut… noch was anderes: was für effekte benutzt du am ende?
As I said in the video. There are numerous effects in Ableton you can use to spice up Traktor’s signal. And above that Ableton is able to fire a few Loops of their own, which makes it even more interesting while DJing. (Remixing stuff live with those two programs eg)
Just wondering why you would connect Ableton Live and Traktor together?
Is it to use the midi clock, not enough in-puts or output for sound….?
Thanks
scusa coso….intendevo grandeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
